Board Construction
TYPES OF CONSTRUCTION USED IN OUR FUNKY SUP'S
Our philosophy is to provide easy to understand information to each paddler about what is the differences in the construction methods of our Stand up Paddleboard range.
We design and shape using the latest Advanced Compression Technology (ACT) which is a compression mold, this produces stronger and light-weight boards ( than the alternate hand shaped epoxy board).
There are loads of brands, style, colours in the market place today. But it is the internal make-up and overall manufacturing techniques that you should consider when purchasing a quality stand up paddleboard that will last the distance.
We have four distinct constructions methods for each style of our boards.
1. The soft construction of a Soft SUP allows beginners the real joy of learning techniques without the fear of hurting themselves and the reassurance of landing on a soft deck.
2. This is where our Funky colour range shows it’s true colours. Beautiful, colourful designs highlighted by the glass polish finish. A truly high quality moulded board with brilliant finishes that do set them apart by true class and colour.
3. The toughest board around! Manufactured to sustain heavy handling with essentially a hard shell around a epoxy board. Perfect for SUP hire schools and popular for families.
4. Brushed Carbon boards offer lightweight, strong performance stand up paddleboards most notably used in wave riding.
